A round table conversation has been held by the Commerce and Industry Chamber of Uzbekistan in the capital city on prospects for the development of the solar energy sector of Uzbekistan. The event was attended by representatives of the relevant ministries and departments as well as business entities and scientists.

Joint stock company Uzeltekhsanoat (Uzbek Electrotechnical Industry) is planning to use investments for about US$1 billion till 2030.

First of all, I would like to support the assessments of main outcomes of the SCO’s activity for over the past period enunciated by the heads of delegations.Â During 15 years since establishment, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization has rightfully secured a commendable place in the ranks of high-profile and influential international organizations. It became an efficient factor of sustainable development, strengthening peace, countering the modern challenges and threats, ensuring the security and stability on the regional and global levels.
On 29 June at the Oqsaroy, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov received credentials from the newly-appointed Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Uzbekistan of the Republic of Poland Petr Ivashkevich, of Hungary Peter Santo, of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erik Utembayev, the Republic of Tajikistan Sodiq Imomi, of the Republic of Korean Kwon Yong Woo, of the Republic of Afghanistan Sayid Shahobuddin Temuriy.
